Welcome to the 2017- 2018 school year!
We have made it through the first 8 days of school and already so much has happened! All students have been to the library (as well as the other specials classes). They are such a great group of students! I know we are going to have a fantastic year. Their strength and resiliency will shine through and carry them forward. A few highlights from the beginning of school: Parent night was a huge success- thank you to everyone who was able to attend! PTO hosted a fantastic back to school luncheon for teachers and then a wonderful breakfast for teachers when we came back after hurricane Harvey. Our Administrators went into every classroom and read one of the bucket filling books. We are a bucket filling campus, essentially the premise of the books is that we build each other up not tear each other down. Eclipse- Second and third grade students viewed it from outside and Kindergarten and First grade students viewed via a live stream in their classroom. Hurricane Harvey- We are all back at school and we will hold each other up as we continue to recover from the devastation that was left behind. Third grade students started to checkout! Other grades will begin a week or so. Kindergarten will probably begin several weeks from now. Here are few pictures from the first days of school:
