Distinguishing between Book Fair and Book Orders can be confusing at times. We host two Scholastic Book Fairs each year. One in the Fall and one in the Spring. The Fall book fair is generally a bit smaller than the Spring Fair. Money raised from the book fairs goes directly back into classrooms. Teachers are able to choose books and materials that they would like to add to their classrooms. Our PTO runs both fairs and it takes a village of volunteers to help us have successful Book Fairs. Be on the lookout for emails from PTO about how you can volunteer during the Book Fairs.
Book orders are flyers that the classroom teacher has the option to send home. Parents look through the flyer (or online) and send the order and payment to the classroom teacher. The teacher submits the order and will deliver the books to the student once they have been delivered. By ordering from the teacher, the teacher accumulate points which they can then redeem for books and materials for their classroom.
